CD Sunday - Autumn Splendour

This weeks theme has been chosen by our teamie -  Wendy (Purple Crazy) - and I really enjoyed making my card for this one.
I found my image on Ooh La La's CD  - Carnival of Colour.  This is my next favourite CD of theirs after the 'Shoes'.  I chose to do the pyramage  and just mount it simply on gold mirri card and then a toning background.  The painting is good enough to stand on it's own.  I just added a couple of die cuts for balance. The leaf frond is one of my favorite die purchases and I cut this one  from an unused pyramage layer.

The Autumn colours do not seemed to have arrived in any quantity around here.  I haven't been doing much travelling of late as driving is still difficult so may be it just appears that way around where I live.  The oak tree leaves here are still very green.
Thank you all for the great selection of Christmas cards last week and I hope you enjoy this weeks challenge .

  1. This is lovely Carol. The leaf frond die cut looks great using the spare print and the gold die cut bird is gorgeous.
