DEBBEES CD'S

This one is from Deb's Cd - Dayze of Innocence - paintings by Pamela West. This Cd is a particular favourite of mine and this time I have used the folder 'Dreams in the Distance'. All on parchment and the border which I have adapted slightly is by Florence Holmes on her great new CD 'Say it with Flowers and Lace'. The parchment flower is from my ever depleting pot of embellishments. There were quite a few raids on it at the Sandown Show.

Don't forget Debs will be at the NEC - Stand No: G45

DEBBEES CD'S

I am busy making cards for Debs and these two come from her 'Spring Butterflies and Lace'CD.
The top card is all in card and paper but the second card has a top layer of the butterfly done in parchment. These pretty images emboss very well and I think I shall be adding a few of these to my pot of embellishments

CD Sunday Challenge - Something sweet

For Something Sweet I have used the 'Picnic' folder from 'Dayze of Innocence'. One from the the stable of DebbeesCD's.
I have printed on parchment and then used a Siesta stencil for the oval borders. Then stitched with beads to a matt layer from Carol Anne's Studio Cd - Patchwork Petals. The card is a bp from the 'Picnic' folder

NEW CD LAUNCH FROM OOH LA LA - Christmas Presence

Ooh La La Creations are launching a brand new Cd on Create and Craft on Saturday 9th October at 11.am. You are going to love it. I have just finished making my share of the samples for the show and the images are beautiful. I am confident it is going to be another winner. I now know that it is called 'Christmas Presence'

CD Sunday Challenge - CD + stamping

I have used a Crafty Computer Paper Cd for the background - Crafty Image Emporium - blue Mulberry. For the stamped image I have used clear scene stamps and watercoloured with a Marvy Le Plume pen. The porthole effect is done by using linen effect pale blue mirri card and white glittered peel off circles. I have also coloured the white glittered sentiments to tone. A card for the box and a man's birthday.

Stitch and Creative Crafts Show - Sandown Park

Well I think I am ready now for the first day of the Show tomorrow. I do hope some Blog readers do come to the show and make themselves known at our Stand - F17. I love meeting new people and hopefully spreading the word about the wonderful craft of Parchment.
Debs - of Debbees Cd's - will be on our Stand on Saturday and Sunday - and my friend Pat of Patsymay will be at the show. She had an incredible sell out show on C & C last week with their Foil-It machine. They had to finish the show after half an hour.

The link for the Show details are in the title.

See you over the next few days I hope.

CD Sunday Challenge - Shades of Blue

Shades of Blue - not all blue but there are quite a few different blues on this card.
This is all from a CD apart from the cream card stock. The Cd is another of those that I go back to time and again - 'Card Kits and Pieces' by Crafty Computer Paper. I think I have most of the CD's they offer. They do some great 'stuff' especially for ATC buffs. These are quick cards with a difference.

Just some of the samples I have been making for the show using parchment, stencils and beads.

MORE ABOUT THE SANDOWN SHOW - 17th,18th and 19th September

I have been getting this display ready for the Stitch and Creative Crafts Show at Sandown Park next week. I made these Xmas Tree decorations the Xmas before last and they are from a design pattern by Alison Yeates. The pattern was published in the Parchment Magazine over two months. We plan to have a bit of an Xmas theme. My tutor's 'Make and Take' will be an Xmas card and I will be demonstrating using Xmas stencils and beads on parchment.
I am hoping to meet lots of new people and help encourage them to try this wonderful craft.

For Our Sue

I started this Blog so that I could share my love of parchment craft with anyone else who has the same interests. I had no intention of using the Blog as a diary but I am going to make an exception.
This card and posting is about my lovely friend Sue who sadly, so sadly died on 28th August. Her battle against her illnesses was bravely fought for all the 4 years that I have known her, and longer. The special CD Sunday Challenge card - Kind Thoughts - I made for her. Sue gave me my first little book of parchment patterns when she knew of my interest and was so encouraging as I progressed along the way.
This card is the one I made her for her birthday last year. I loved making it for her and I was so proud of my embossing and making no mistakes. Only fellow parchers will understand that. It is not being big headed - just thrilled to have done it. Sue - your pain and suffering is no more but you will be remembered always by all that knew you for your caring and kindness.

CD Sunday Challenge - Animals

For this CD Sunday Challenge I have used a couple of CD's. The image and speech bubble come from 'Animal Antics' by Joanna Sheen and the gingham backing card from Printable Gingham etc by Robert Addams. The little bee and rabbit are from my button stash.

THE STITCH AND CREATIVE CRAFTS SHOW

is on at Sandown Park on 17th-19th September. I will be joining my Tutor on her stand F17 - and would love to meet any Blog readers there. Please come and say hello. My Tutor, Marilyn Pybus will be doing a parchment Make and Take each day, so if you have never done parchment and want to have a go you can book when you arrive at the Show.
Also with us for the Saturday and Sunday will be my good friend Debs of Debbees CD's. As well as creating all her great CD's Debs loves to do parchment. Debs is going to stay with me and we are going to have such a fun time.
Stand F17 is on the far right (from the entrance) just before you get to the entrance to where the main workshop is.

See you there and then.

Ooh La La on C & C Saturday 4th September

According to the Sky schedule the Ooh La La CD show will be on at 12 noon. I believe the featured Cd will be Femme Fatale.

Ooh La La Femme Fatale CD Show on C & C

I haven't used parchment in either of these but they are just two more of my favourites from this fab CD.

Ooh La La Femme Fatale CD Show on C & C

Here I have used that border again which I love using. This time making pink parchment ribbon.
The two very pretty fabric butterflies come from www.patsymay.co.uk

Ooh La La 'Femme Fatale' CD Show on C & C

The only parchment work on this one is the use of two butterflies printed on to parchment paper.
The folder is called 'Butterfly'
