CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #186 - hosted by Carol (moi)

 It is a long, long time since I hosted a challenge - but here I am - and very pleased to be here.  I hope that there will be many entries from which I can choose my Top 3.  I am so looking forward to being more involved.

Firstly though - here is my team card for your delectation:

The stitch pattern for this card is by Linzoos - pattern no: R95.   The yellow flowers are from 'Favourite Flowers' - die cuts by Carnation Crafts.  Carnation has called this flower - Wildflower - but it does look a bit like a buttercup.

I made this birthday card for my hairdresser - Amanda - it is her birthday on the 29th June and she has been my hairdresser for more years than I can remember - about 30!!

CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #185 - hosted by Jocelyn

Good morning on this wet Sunday.  We seem to be going from hot and dry to wet and chilly almost on a daily basis.  But I have a 'summery' card for you.  I love these decoupaged teacups showing so many lovely colourful flowers and a butterfly or two.  

The stitch pattern (D17) is by Linzoos and I used variegated thread to compliment the decoupage.  I made the card for a forum friend back in April and she did like it I am glad to say.

I am still making progress and have started having physiotherapy sessions at home.  I am also pleased to say that all being well I will hostess the Challenge for #186  - as planned.  I am looking forward to increasing my involvement. 

I also look forward to visiting your entries and discovering new ideas, styles and must have patterns and equipment.

CD Sunday plus - Challenge #179 - hosted by Meg

 Geisha Girl

Good Morning one and all.  My card for this challenge is - I confess - one I have done before a few times - using a pattern from Stitching cards.  It makes a special unfussy card for a female relative or friend.

I have used a plain background as I prefer the pattern and style of the sweet Geisha to show up  and not fight other patterns and colours.

I hope all are well and making the most of the 'drier ' weather even though it is  chillier. 

The new nail art from China that I mentioned in a previous posting has arrived -  so I will be having fun playing with those.  I might have something ready for our next challenge.  We'll see.

CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #171 - hosted by Jo

This is my last 2025 stitched Christmas card for CD Sunday Plus. It is one that I played about with - a little - as I explain below.  

The stitch pattern for the bauble is by Linzoos - Kerst 413.  I believe that 'Kerst' is Dutch for Christmas. The centre stitching design was taken from a Christmas bauble pattern by Stitching Cards, but increased in size to fit the bauble.  I added the beads and the peel-offs.  The background paper is from the Seasonal Sparkle papers by Hunkydory.

CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #169 - hosted by Pamela

I am still enjoying the stitching.  It is keeping me occupied, especially when I do a little alteration to some of the patterns.  Naughty, I know, but enjoyable.

I hope all are keeping well.  I am doing my best.        I have decided that I need a few new things from M & S, so Chris is going to take me for a quick visit next week.  This will be my first shopping trip for months. We might have a little light lunch somewhere as well.

We didn't make it to M & S. In fact, we didn't make it anywhere.  Chris developed a stinking cough and sore throat, and we did a COVID-19 test on him instead of going out.  All OK TG.

CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #133 - hosted by Pamela

 

Again I turned to La Pashe for my card for this challenge.  As well as having a 'thing' about butterflies I also love seeing Hot Air Balloons.  Either images or the real thing.  I have this die for a balloon and when I found the stripey 'material' on the internet it seemed to go with the skeleton of my die perfectly.  Having made the 'balloon' I then searched my collection of CD's for a scene and found just the thing - guess where?  Yes - La Pashe.

I wanted something that I could use with space enough for the balloon in which it would look reasonably natural.  This image is called Daffodil Walk and is a decoupage page.

 

There are three layers for the decoupage - including the background.  The three small images to the right are perfect for ATC's. Here below is one I made many moons ago.

 

I plan to use the card in one of our UKSN swop groups and will post it next week.  Here at CD Sunday we have a rule that we do not show/use our team cards before they are published on the Blog, so I have to stick to the rules.

I am looking forward to my visits to your blogs and to choosing my Top 3 for the last challenge.

CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #76

I hope that a good and safe Christmas and New Year was had by everyone.  My Christmas plans were changed at the last minute. I was due to host a family Christmas at my place but due to daughter, son in law and nephew all testing positive I had to go down to Bristol to spend Christmas with my sister.  Not a hardship but she was supposed to be coming to me.

My first CD Sunday Plus card for 2022 is a birthday card for one of my Great Nephews - Arlo.  I remember that I started off last year with a card for the same nephew.  Last time it was a spaceship and this time it is a puffer train.

 

The image - which I have decoupaged -  comes from the La Pashe Big One CD  - Volume 1 - Remember When?

This has made a 6" x 8" (almost) card and I love these big and bold images.  They make such great cards for little ones.

Now that Arlo has a new younger brother (there are now three little terrors) I will have to find some  more and different images for future cards. I am sure that I will find something on La Pashe.

So a latish Happy New Year from me and I look forward to your visits chez-moi.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge - #51 - Anything goes - hosted by Wynn.

I hope everyone had the best Christmas and New Year that was possible. For those of us plunged into Tier 4 it was a bit of a shock but if I am honest, not totally unexpected.

I hope, though, that all are well and eager to join in with our challenges.

My first card for this year is for Arlo - one of my Great Nephews.  He will be 4 this month and growing fast. His brother, Ellis, will be 6 in February so another card to make.   Ellis likes wildlife and 'stuff' so my new Tattered Lace dies and charismas will come into play for his card.  I have managed to see a recent short video of both the boys and they are growing so fast.

So here is my card for Arlo, who likes rockets and things:

It is all from the La Pashe stable.  I love using all the CDs by La Pashe  that I have and I wish they were still around making more.  

The image came from Big One - Vol 2 - Kids and Teens decoupage. The Background was from the Big One backgrounds.  I used my  Carnation Crafts Shabby dies for the white and dark blue mats.

I used my Marianne letters die set for his name and a sentiment die (name forgotten) for the Happy Birthday.  The number 4 is from a sheet of peel offs. 

I am looking forward to another year of crafting, visiting your Blogs and welcoming you to mine.

Those above criteria can only mean Christmas -  so here is my entry:

I used a starry background design from a Carol Anne's Studios CD.  The Father Christmas image comes from La Pashe with the border and sentiment added using my graphics programme. Then I just added a few peel off red stars.

I wasn't the successful one in the last draw so my wonderful handsome Harrison Ford went off to pastures new. 😢

So with this little card may I wish an early Happy Christmas - and don't all shout at once please.
