CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #147 - hosted by Jo

I added the borders and sentiment and tweaked the colours to this purchased Christmas download with my new fab printer and graphics programme.

I have now finished all my Christmas cards for this year ( 60+) and enjoyed creating everyone using these new toys.  I purchased quite a few image downloads and had so much pleasure and fun tweaking the colours and finding new borders.

The card above was just a straight print of the original but below are a couple of cards I made using the same image and my Kaleidoscope CD before adding borders and sentiments.

Keep crafting and having fun.

CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #98 - hosted by Margaret

My last Halloween card for this year - but one of my favourites.  It really does look spooky.  The spooks remind me of  dementors  from  the  Harry Potter stories/films.  I am a big Harry Potter fan and have all the films and the complete set of story CDs read by Stephen Fry.

Yet another download for the background but I think a really great one.  The spooks are from Jan Mayhew's folder - Haunted.  SPOOKY is a die cut and 'Tis Halloween' is from my graphics programme. The  Font is called Chiller. The borders are also done using my graphics programme.

Keep well and try to keep dry.

Hugs

CD Plus Challenge #38 - hosted by me

I am typing this on Wednesday waiting for the storm that has been promised. I have a humdinger of a pressure headache so something is on its way.   In the meantime, I have a very Summery image to show you.  At least it makes me think of Summer/Autumn - a pot of Honey.

This card is a bit of a mixture.  Obviously, it is a gatefold card.  In the inside, I have used a copy of a stitched card I made quite a while ago.  Luckily it seemed to scan very well.   I added the sentiment and the border with my graphics programme.  The outside of the card is a digital download of a honeycomb image with the die-cut BEE HAPPY added.
Here is the stitched card of the honey jar that was made a while ago.

I started to play around with the stitched card because I  wanted to enter a Facebook challenge where we had to use bugs, the letter B, and colour Yellow and the card had all of those.
So I have had two cards using the same image very differently.

I hope all are well and safe.

CD Sunday Plus - Christmas Prize Challenge - #25

Good Morning.  I hope the slightly warmer weather has arrived by the time this goes live. It is really freezing whilst I am writing this  -2.0.

This is our last CD Sunday Plus challenge for the year 2019 and it is a prize challenge.  We are asking for 'Anything Christmassy' rather than Anything Goes.  It doesn't have to be a card - just a celebration of Christmas.   Don't forget that downloads, USBs and CDs can all now be used in your creations - in fact, at least one of them must be used.

This is the card I have chosen to make:

This is a download sheet purchased from Craftsuprint many moons ago and was designed by  Ann-Marie Vaux.  I must admit to this not being my usual style but I liked it because it reminded me of Parchment work, and it is decoupaged,  which is another of my crafting loves.   In fact, my fellow teamies thought it was made using parchment.

All the details about the Prize Challenge can be found here.

It was my turn to choose the Top 3 for Challenge #24 and my choices will be published when we return after Christmas- 5th January 2020.
Thank you for your visits to my blog over the last year and I look forward to a productive year in 2020.

A very Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year to everyone.

Birthday card for a Golfer

The image and the backing paper and sentiment came from a La Pashe download of decoupage sports images.  The extras are from a stack of adhesive embellishments I found in my stash.  I had to add a smidgen of glue so that shows how long I have had them.

I used to play golf and must admit that sometimes I miss playing..... but not on a cold wet morning like today.

Here is the card:

I hope all are safe after the heavy rain and high winds.  We are OK here as far as I know.  I am about to venture out so I will find out what kind of state our local narrow woody roads are in.

The Snooker King

Well I didn't get to the seaside unfortunately except in my day dreams and the days since haven't been a lot better but I managed to lose myself in some decoupage cutting yesterday.  One of my sons plays a mean game of snooker and also  poker - I am led to believe - so this card is for his birthday next month.  I expect it will hold something crisp and folding so that he can buy some more of those creepy Sci Fi box sets that are his other passion.
The card comes from a new download series of images and backgrounds for men's cards from La Pashe.  I liked them all.  I don't think I will manage to use everyone but most will be very useful.
Here it is:
I couldn't just make one card at a time.  Not worth getting the guillotine etc out  just for one so here is the second:

I don't know who this will be for at the moment but I loved the image and especially the splishy sploshy background paper.  Wonderful.  I will print it on to parchment later  for some of my parchment flowers.  Should look really good.

Have a lovely weekend and I will see you on Sunday for the next CD Sunday theme.
