Special cards

I have been making up a couple of Hunkydory cards using some kits that I bought quite a while ago.

The first one is for a special friend who has suddenly become very poorly.  I can't go to see her yet in case of spreading any germs.  I am sure I haven't got any but it just isn't worth the risk.

Neither of the cards have scanned as well as I would have liked because of the many layers of decoupage.

Here is the first one:

The second is a Sympathy card for one of our UKSN members whose Mother sadly passed away recently.

It seems to be a difficult time me at the moment.  An old and close ex golfing friend died on 22nd December.  My son and I are attending her funeral tomorrow.  My husband - from whom I have been separated for 25 years -  died on Christmas Eve and now my friend is very poorly.

It is crafting though that is keeping me going and sane and I will visit my friend as soon as it is allowed.

I hope all are well.

Hugs

CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #102 - hosted by Jo

My 'team' card for this challenge is one I made especially for fellow CD Sunday team member and friend, Jocelyn.  Her birthday was at the beginning of the month and I know her to be a lover of cats and has one or two? of her own.  So this card I found on the 'Say it with Words' CD from Ooh La La seemed perfect.  Here it is:

The extra three larger pussy cats were added digitally from a folder - Here Kitty Kitty - by Kate Hadfield.

I am still enjoying my forays into the digital world but have now started to do decoupage again and using my die cut machines more. The injection I had a few days ago seems to be helping.  I don't think these things are a cure but I will settle for help and no pain.

I am looking forward to finding more knowledge and inspiration from those who enter our Challenges.  I discovered two new unknown to me digital designers during the last challenge which pleased me very much.

Keep safe

85. Winter Wonderland

Here is my latest set of 5 ATCs for the Facebook ATC Group. This is for the December 2022/January 2023.  As you can see the theme was Winter Wonderland.

My source and inspiration for these came from  Eline's Digital ClipArt Set - Eline's Eskimos & Polar Bears, which I found on Buddly Crafts.  I loved these little drawings and all I had to do was choose which ones to use, and add a few die cut snowflakes

A birthday card for a Great Nephew

I very, very rarely make the same or similar card twice but this is a special case.

My Great Nephew, Ellis, will be 8 next month, and like his father, Oliver, is an Arsenal fan.  I made the card for Oliver 2 years ago.  I thought that Ellis might like a card like 'Dad's'.  I hope he does.

The image is from a La Pashe CD - Big One Vol 2.  There a a few different colour shirts available on the CD and it is just a matter of playing around a bit.  I decoupaged the white sleeves from an all white shirt onto an all red shirt. The numbers come with the images.

It does look really good in the flesh.  Colourful and crisp.  I can recommend these images for any mad football fans for whom you have to make a card.

CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #101 - hosted by Pamela

I hope that all had a good Christmas and wish all a very Happy New Year.

My  card for the first CD Sunday Plus challenge of the the year 2023 is a Card for Kindness for a member of the UKSN to which I belong.

This comes from a fabulous CD by Ooh La La that I had forgotten I had,  called  'Say It With Words'.  You will probably see a lot more of these now I have rediscovered it. The image was printed on Glossy card and mounted on a yellow pre folded card.  5" x 5" I think.

I am still making some simple cards or digital cards as my right hand still needs some further treatment and gets tired quite quickly.  I am writing this entry during the holiday but on the 5th January I am due to have an injection into my hand under local using ultrasound.  If you hear any yells Surrey way - that will have been me.

I hope all are well and look forward to seeing all the wonderful cards made for our challenges.

Take care.
