CD Sunday - Christmas Present - chosen by Pamela

Good Morning.  I hope it is a little warmer today than it has been . I am beginning to wish that I hadn't had a Smart Meter fitted as you can now see in £ s d exactly what the heating is costing per day.
For our challenge Pamela has chosen another Christmas theme . Hopefully you are all still making Christmas cards so you are sure to have something that qualifies for our theme.
Here is my offering:

This is from an old favourite CD that I have had for some years now - Crafty Computer Paper Co - Card Kits and Pieces CD.  Sadly it seems that this company no longer exists.

Everything for the card has been printed from the CD.  The lovely young lady is delivering her  present to a lucky someone.  One of my favourite embellishments on this CD are the 'dried' orange slices. They are very realistic and so evocative of Christmases gone by.

A third Christmas card revisited !!

Well - sort of revisited.  A couple of years ago  I made this card in parchment.
        

 I had discovered the card here.
 I liked the image back then so I decided to have yet another play with it. Not parchment this time. We card makers spend ages each year hand making all our cards.  They are all different and made with love and care but there are only so many hours in a day and quite often we just run out of time and let's be honest (whispering here) pop out and buy a box from a well know High St chain just for those half a dozen or so that we still need.
So......  I went back to this image and used my graphic programme to play around with the border and colours.  Added a message from myself after playing with comparable fonts. I printed out the image and matted to a toning card and then mounted using a  good quality blank landscape 21cm x 15cm white card of which I have a stack.  It still needed a little something so I added the white die cut trees which I then glittered with a Wink of Stella.
They are still handmade and basically designed by myself but they were so much quicker to make and I didn't go out and buy them.

CD Sunday - Photo Inspiration

Our new challenge theme has been chosen by Jocelyn - and what a good choice.

Here is the photo she gave us and your good selves.......

A little unusual I think you will agree.  I sat and looked at it for some time and I couldn't get past the idea of ceramic wall  tiles.  Maybe that is what they are.  Next thought was mainly blue and white tiles - therefore  Holland.  I have a CD that has just the papers I needed to use as backgrounds for a couple of Dutch style ATC's -  which are what I had decided to make.
Here they are.:

Together with the die cut Tulips and the couple in National Dress (collected from the 'net' I think) we have Dutch style ATC's. I managed to use all the colours in the Inspirational photo.  The CD I used is from Crafty Computer Paper - Crafty Image Emporium CD-rom.

Although there are only four of us on our team at the moment I think you must agree that we have each come up with something so different to each other.
Talking of only four - there is some great news on the Blog so please have a look.  We are very excited and pleased.

Christmas card - another quick one

Whilst I was discovering new things on an old favourite CD - 'Cards Kits and Pieces' by Crafty Computer Paper - I printed out the makings of this card:

It is all there for you.  Just print out two pages - some work with the scissors and/or guillotine and put it all together.  I love the style and the papers on this CD.  Somehow they are very different.  I have added the die cut greeting and the two red leafy scrolls.  The bow and the orange slices are decoupaged.  I think I make this one every year - just add a little something different each time.  An old favourite.

CD through the back door

I don't know how else to describe this.  I have a favourite Cd - 'Card Kits and Pieces' by Crafty Computer Paper that I have had for quite a while.  I was looking through it again the other day and noticed - for the first time believe it or not - on the menu - Editable Graphics.  I followed the instructions of how to get there and found to my delight many images and other goodies to play with that are not on the main menu.

I found this vintage picture that appealed so I printed it on parchment and then had a play and here it is.

It looks very vintage and sparkly in real life - better than the photo I am afraid but I hope you like it.
I shall look more carefully on CD menus in future - just in case.
