CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #146 - hosted by Meg

There are three celebratory birthdays in my family this month and I have chosen the celebration of my granddaughter's 21st Birthday to share with you.

I find it hard to believe that Ellie (Eleanor) will be 21 in a few days.  Here is the card that I have made for her.

I used an image of Tatty Ted from the Docraft Designer CD. I printed it out twice and then punched out the flowers with my Pinflair Punch and stuck them on the image for the 3d effect.
'Ellie'  and the borders were printed using my ACDSee graphics programme.

The image of the champagne bucket etc was a purchase from Etsy.

Using the image of the card front I made 6 coasters for her to use on the day and then keep as a memento.

The scan isn't perfect but here it is.

I am looking forward to seeing her on her special day.

3 new cards to show

My first card is one I made for Michael - husband of my American friend Aimeslee.  Aimeslee happened in conversation to tell me that Michael loved Lighthouses -  and so do I.  It just so happened that I had obtained a greyscale image of a lighthouse that I had hand coloured with my pencils so I made it into a card and sent it off to Texas.

Here  it is:

As I told Aimeslee -  I was 'chuffed' that Michael liked it.

My second card is made using Serif Craft Artist 2.

I used the folder Butterfly Paradise.  I played about a little, taking out this and moving that to my liking.  I added the sentiment using my ACDSee Graphics programme.   I had recently purchased some wonderful die-cut butterflies from Katy Sue so I used three of them as my finishing touch.  I can highly recommend the sheets of butterflies and here is the link.

My third and last one was made using my Docrafts Digital Designer.  My favourite images from this designer are Tatty Ted.  They are all wonderful.  This is what I made;

I printed out Tatty Ted Twice and  used my Pinflair punch to punch out the flowers to decoupage.  Once I had fixed them on I used some Cosmic Shimmer twinkles in the centres. Everything comes from the Digital designer except the coloured borders which come from my ACDSee.

I hope you like them.

CD Sunday Plus - Challenge #40 - Anything Goes - hosted by Wynn

Good Morning.  I hope that all are well and still crafting.

We had an amazing response to Challenge # 39.   What an introduction to hosting for Jo.  It will take her until # 41 to choose her Top 3.   Thank you all for your support.

For Challenge # 40 I needed my Pinflair punch. You will see why when you look at the photo:

I love Lilac.  I am just sorry that it doesn't stay in flower for very long.  The blooms are so pretty and they smell delicious.

The image I used looks as though it was painted in oils so I thought of the punch which would add a rough - oil paint -  appearance to the 3D effect.  I printed out many copies of the image and just kept punching out the flowers to stick on.
The two backgrounds are from MCS - Lavender Reign CD.  I use the same background for the die-cut butterflies.  I also used my own graphics programme to create the lilac borders and to add the sentiment.
Gems are from Hunkydory.
Here is a close up of the punching:

I think this is one of my favourites for this year - so far- and will probably be in my go-to box for a while yet.

Please leave a comment as you pass by and perhaps even join in with our challenge. We would love to see you.
Hugs

p.s. Please don't forget our very few rules -below - when entering our challenges. Sadly our record number of entries for the last challenge was spoilt by some who did not qualify.

CD Plus Challenge #39 - hosted by Jo

As always our challenges are 'Anything goes' with the proviso that either a CD, digital image or a USB has been used singly or in any combination.

This is also team member Jo's first time to host a challenge and choose the Top 3.

This is my card for this challenge:

This was originally die-cut decoupage. There was so much on the sheet to use.  In fact too much for just one card.  I copied the image back sheet and with my graphics programme added the borders and the sentiment. I printed an extra sheet of flowers so that I could punch out some flowers for the corners and for the second card and topper that I managed to make using the layers from the original sheet.  I love this flower study.  Funnily enough, I do not like Hydrangeas in real life but I do like them in pictures and paintings.

This one was also made for a Facebook Group where we have been making  'Cards of  Kindness'.

Here are the second card and the topper that I made to show just how much there was to use.

I look forward to some more blog visits so please join in with us.  I will already be doing a great deal of blog hopping as it is my turn to choose the  Top 3 for Challenge #38.

Tatty Ted to the resue

Whilst I am still not able to do any detailed parchment and I must keep busy - I have been looking up old friends like the Docraft Designer programme (hence Tatty Ted and others) and my folder of stitch card patterns.  I also - whilst scrabbling  about in a cupboard -  found my Pinflair Punch set.
Here are the results.
On the last card the corner flowers and some of the 3D flowers were made using the Pinflair Punch. Great little gadget.
I can't show you the stitch card I have  made just yet  as it is for a future CD Sunday Plus challenge but I know you will love it when you see it.
I have just purchased some new Christmas patterns from Stitchcards so am off to have a play.
See you soon.

CD Sunday - 'Let's go Lilac' - chosen by Jocelyn

Lilac is one of my favourite colours and one of my favourite flowers.  I have some Lilac in my garden and although people say it is unlucky to bring it into the house I do just for a few days once a year. Sadly it doesn't last long when picked so perhaps it is out of the house before any bad luck can strike.
Below is a photo of one of the fine blooms on my tree.
But now back to the matter in hand.  A great theme chosen by Jocelyn and for this challenge I went back to stocking up my ATC folder and made these:

I used Joanna Sheen's House Mouse and Gruffies CD's for five of  the ATCs -  and  all of the backgrounds.  Then I used  various butterflies for the other three ATCs.  They were difficult to photo or scan so I hope you can see them well enough.

Another big day today  for CD Sunday as we are announcing the new members of our Design Team over on the Blog. We couldn't be more delighted and we are looking forward to long lasting  and happy teamwork.  I am sure you will welcome them and visit their blogs to see all the wonderful work they do.  They will be showing off their work for CD Sunday  in our next Challenge.  We had to give them time to be creative  and not rush them.

Our 6th Birthday prize winners were announced during the week and their prizes should be on the way to them by now.  We hope they will be pleased with the goodies. One of our prize winners lives in Florida and I was sorely tempted to deliver her prize in person.

I look forward to some serious blog hopping.  We had a great number of entries in our last challenge and I really enjoyed visiting and commenting so let's hope for the same or even more this time.
