After seeing some great cards when visiting some blogs that have entered our current CD Challenge I was moved to use this new La Pashe CD - Gnomes and Fairies. There have been some lovely cards made using it so I printed out and decoupaged 3 of the fairies for ATC's as I am always needing to add to my stock. Very fiddly cutting out.
A sprinkle of glitter on the wings and into the stock file.

Lilacs in March
My CD Sunday card this week was - as I said - for the husband of a friend of mine - and now here is the card I made for his wife - my friend.
Her Birthday was on Sunday so a bit early for Lilacs but I like them and find any excuse to use them.
The CD used was Jayne Shasky's 'from the heart of the garden'. I printed out a vellum wrap to put under the image with a row of embossed dots to outline the picture. The bow is an Itty Bitty bow and the sentiment is a die cut. I decoupaged the little butterfly and added gems for the body and also added some in the empty corners of the image.

CD Sunday - Sentiment
Good Morning. It has been quite windy down here in the South for a couple of days and I am hoping it will ease off soon. I don't like high winds especially being surrounded by many trees.
The theme for the next two weeks is one of my choices - Sentiment. I hope you will join in with us and the idea is to have the emphasis on the Sentiment which is what I hope I have shown with my card:
I used Joanna Sheen's - Egyptian Adventure for the image and card and a newish large die for the sentiment Happy Birthday. I can't remember who made the die. I am not very good at keeping the packaging for reference as I know many people do. I took the opportunity of combining this theme with a birthday of the husband of a very good friend. He is a good friend to me as well of course, I hasten to add.
My Conservatory roof is now replaced and finished and the new carpet has been laid so I am busy unpacking boxes and putting thing back in cupboards. Taking the opportunity to have a mega sort out and throw out whilst doing so.......or that is what I am promising myself.
Please try and visit the teams blogs for some inspiration.
Be back soon.

Blossom Time
This was the mornings work from our first Judith Maslen workshop of the year. I love the pattern and the colouring was amazingly easy and fun to do. I used toning seed beads and glitter thread to attached the parchment to the card.
I didn't make such a good stab at the afternoon's project and I intend to start again from scratch so that will be for another day.

CD Sunday ..... Shabby Chic
Shabby Chic is the theme chosen by Sue. Even though it is such a 'wide' term I am never sure if I have got it right or not. So I have taken my images from a 'Shabby Chic' CD so I must at least be in the right 'ball park'.
I chose to make ATC's for this and managed to make 7.
I made the ATC's from the printed pages and then scanned them into my computer and used MCS to arrange them and give a background. This makes it easier to post rather than have 7 individual ATC's copied and pasted.
I do like the soft effect of things Shabby Chic and I hope you will all enjoy producing some masterpieces for us to peruse.
As you will see on our CD Sunday Blog we have talked about the really sad news about the loss of our lovely past DT member - Wendy. Wendy was with us on our team until late Autumn when she decided a rest was needed. We will be celebrating her life next month and we hope you will all join us.
Thank you to those who entered our Everything stops for tea' Challenge and please try and join in with our Shabby Chic.
