CD Sunday - 6th Birthday Celebrations

In fact tomorrow - 18th April - is the actual day back in 2010 when CD Sunday was launched. The current Design Team are not the originators but we have been here for sometime.  I joined in October 2010 and I am pleased to say I am still enjoying my time with the team.

Now to the celebrations.  We are doing something different for this Birthday. We are asking our stalwart challengers to choose the favourite something they have made in the past for a CD Sunday Challenge and back link their entry to that something.  Obviously tell us the CD used etc and also tell us why it is their favourite.
If you visit CD Sunday you will see all the prizes on offer and rules etc.

Now my choice surprised even me.  Not a parchment or a stitch card but believe it or not  - a CAS card

Ooh La La - Carnival of Colour
I think that this was only my second ever CAS card and it was made for Jenny's Clean and Simple challenge (here) back on 5th April 2015.  I love the butterfly and the colouring combination and was generally pleased with the result.  In fact I still have the card and don't really want to give it away.
So this is my own choice and I am looking forward to seeing what you have chosen and your reasons for your choice  -  and here are the prizes that I have contributed

.

ATC Swop UK - April Swop

Our swop for this April is 'Things with Wings'.  We have recently gained a gentleman ATC maker in our midst and in deference to him our leader decided on a theme that could be followed in a more masculine way so with aeroplanes, birds and such like in mind we have 'Things with Wings'.  The 5 that  I have chosen to do I have made before but these are all freshly and especially made. (sounds like a batch of biscuits).
Here they are:

This is how I have presented them.  When they appear on the Facebook page they have a far superior background and proper wording.
They are all parchment and some of my favourite images to do so it was no hardship to make fresh ones.

CD Sunday - 'Get Well Wishes' - chosen by Sue

Good Morning.  I hope everyone enjoyed a good Easter break and survived the windy weather.  I did find it quite frightening as it was quite bad down here in the S.E.

Sue has chosen a theme for the challenge which although it is unfortunately often needed it will be good to have one - or even a couple in your boxes of  -'one I made earlier'.

I decided on parchment for mine and here it is

Clip Art CD by Patsy May
Firstly I would like to state that it is all straight.  It must be an optical illusion as I have been all over it with my metric ruler and everything tallies. It just seems to have a tilt and it is driving me nuts but I am not making it again.

I used a Clip Art CD by Patsy May.  I have had this CD for quite a while and it is a good standby as it has many many great images - all black and white so perfect to print out on parchment.  I used MCS to put the fairy inside the frame.  Used a new little Magic Wand die for her wand.  Wand is part of Spellbinders D-Lites - Fairy Cierra - bought from here.    Oodles of Wink of Stella for the wings (in fact I ran out and have some more on order)  and some Glamour Dust on the Star Tool impressions.  The sentiment was made using a PCA embossing board.
I used a nice bright yellow card for the background to add a little sunshine to go with the wishes.  Yellow always seems to go well with black and white.
Please come and join us at CD Sunday with Sue's theme  and also don't forget our Birthday Celebration Challenge is coming soon with oodles of prizes to be won.
Hugs
