So if you need to make a card for someone with a Summer birthday this challenge is the one for you.
Two of my children and my Nephew are all Summer babies so my challenge card will do for one of them.
Here is my 'Sun and Sand and Sea' card for your delectation:
A couple of close ups.
The gulls and crabs are die cut. The eyes of the crabs are minute blue/black pearls that I found and again look very realistic.
I look forward to visiting many sunny climes so that if it rains at least we will have something sunny to look at..
I would love you to leave a comment when you visit. They are always much appreciated.
Hugs
Carol

I love these fun images from La pashe, such a great card Carol and I love those little crabs too. Reminds me of when my sister and I were kids and we would go crabbing on the beach.

I love the image and the die cuts, and thanks for the tip about scanning sandpaper to get a sand effect - I recently tried using actual sandpaper but it is really horrible to use, very heavy and nothing sticks to it without the stronglest glue you can find!

I've used sand paper for sand Jane . Best to use the fine grain sand paper and red DS tape sticks fine. Hope this helps Wynn xx
DeleteThis is such a fun card Carol, a great choice of image and perfect die-cuts too. Made me smile.

Fabulous card, love the old fashioned image
ReplyDeleteYes lots of sunshine here Carol. We're having a heat wave here at the mo and it's much too hot for some. Fortunately we live higher up from the coast so get a lovely cool breeze. Wish I could craft outside but sadly that 'lovely cool breeze' won't let me!! A lovely fun seaside image on your card Carol which is instantly recognisable as La Pashe. Hugs Wynn xx
