Parchment gridwork 'Butterfly' card

Gridwork is my favourite discipline in parchment work and this card is all gridwork. The 'border' is a design by Florence Holmes. Another of her challenging creations. It took me four attempts to achieve an acceptable base for the embossing. The beautiful backing paper pattern is from a Carol Ann's Studio Cd and is printed on parchment and card. The border was then stitched to them both with glass beads of toning colours. The butterfly is another of the Gothic Butterflies designed by Pauline Loweth.

  1. WOWZSER Carol, fabulous grid work and gorgeous butterfly.

  2. So beautiful, would make a fabulous Mother's Day card

  3. Absolutely gorgeous! Just learning to do this this craft, cant wait until I am good enough to do another 10 yrs!
