New species of butterfly?

An early morning visitor to my garden today?
A pattern by Josie Davidson in the June Parchment Magazine.  I started this at our parchment workshop on Wednesday and finished it last evening.  This is a very simple pattern that would suit a beginner.  There is only one special tool used - a PCA quin - and that need not be necessary. Some other decorative tool  could be used such as a star/sun  tool.  It was good to get back to some parchment.  I can't cope yet with many of the basic card making disciplines like die cutting and using a guillotine.

  1. This is stunning Carol, I've missed seeing your parchment the last few weeks. It's great that you can do this even if you are unable to use die cutting and the guillotine, these will come with a bit more time I'm sure.

    This is gorgeous, Carol.
You say this is a simple pattern - it doesn't look like it to me, it looks too beautiful, lol
I'd love this, can you buy the Parchment Mag in the shops?

  3. Thank you Sue and Irene.
I have an annual subscription for my magazine Irene but I am sure you can buy copies from good craft shops. Just need to ask around. You can buy them online or even buy a download.
    Try here - www.magmaker.co.uk/magazine/PARCH/

  4. Thank you for the link, Carol, and your kind comment on my DT card.
I've downloaded the butterfly - plus other patts :)
I already subscribe to Making Cards and can't do two per month so buying a download is a great way (and cheaper) to access the other mags
    Cheers me dear :)

Beautiful butterfly I take the magazine every month and looked at this beautiful butterfly and thought it was too hard for me but I will have a try as you say it's for a beginner.
