I think Margaret has chosen a great theme for her challenge as most of us love our dogs or dogs in general.
I don't have a dog now. I am on my own and know that I am not physically up to 'walkies' so it would be unkind to the poor dog especially as I prefer the larger breeds and who would be taking who for a walk would be the question.
We always had dogs when I was living at home. I was sad to leave the two we had when I left.
Enough sentimentality. My card today was made especially for a friend who is a mad dog lover and has 3. Two Springers (my absolute favourites) and a Yorkie - who apparently is the pack leader!!
Here is my card. It is in fact her birthday today (6th) and she is away. I sent it in time for her to take with her.
Isn't the dog just gorgeous? Our Springers were black and white and beautiful enough to adorn a chocolate box. But this one is a beauty too.
The CD used was by La Pashe - The Pet Set CD
Everything came from the CD except for a couple of the mats.
We are looking forward to seeing your dogs - any shape size or colour. They are all beautiful.
I will be away for part of this challenge so I will catch up with everything when I can.
Hugs and happy crafting
Woof! woof!.
xx
Cute card Carol! I love paw print papers and this is the nicest I've seen! My in-laws had a springer, he was as madder as a hatter!

A beautiful card Carol, you obviously went for a stroll down memory lane while making this one.

Hi Carol
ReplyDeleteI love your adorable card - very sweet :) I am sure your friend will love it too.
Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog - in answer to your question about my paper, yes I do use good quality paper which is coated and about 250gsm. It is especially for printing so it gives a nice crisp image.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Thank you Eve for coming back to me. The brightness of the colour you achieved was really very good. xx
DeleteCarol I would love a dog, but hubby does not want one, when we got together I had a Belguim Griffon, unfortunately she had cancer and I had her put to sleep, I did not want her to suffer. She replaced my very old lady and my favourite breed (Lhasa Apso) of which I have had several. I told hubby if anything happen to him he would go out one door and a dog would walk in the other. He said some years ago we would have a dog when we retired, we are both retired now it's when we stop going aboard. The other day he said he did not want any animals in the house....... It's gone in one ear and went out the other.
ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous I love the image of the dog holding the toy.
I hope you have a love break and enjoy yourself.
A lovely card, this is a la Pashe CD that seems to have slipped by my radar, I'd not heard of it until this challenge

Hi Carol
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's a great choice of theme. I'm a big dog lover - especially of spaniels. I'm not aware of this cd but feel I need to investigate! I'm sure the recipient will be delighted with their card. I love your choice of backing paper and jaunty angles. Enjoy your break away.

Lovely image of a Springer Carol. My friend had one and it jumped up....as Springers do.... and gave her a black eye! The dog was forgiven of course . He was a sweetie just very lively!! Hope you're enjoying your break Hugs Wynn x
ReplyDeleteLovely image and I like the backing paper too.
