A long, long time ago I was 'into' Iris Folding in a big way. At the time I was making cards to sell at my local shop and Iris folded cards were very popular at the time.
This was the basis of the card that I made.
The flowers were from a CD programme called Little Big Tree - Wings and Flowers. A fabulous system and I still use it.
I found the photo that I had taken at the time and decided to use it. I cropped and then used another graphics programme to add borders and to duplicate so that I could add a decoupage layer.
I found a suitable bold and toning backing paper from La Pashe and made this:
Whilst I was looking through my old Photobucket pictures I also found another verion of the iris folded vase with some different flowers:
I enjoyed making the blue version so I well may do something with this one.
As I said - anything but the ironing.

I must confess to never having done iris folding as I wasn't sure that I liked it, but you've made a fantastic card using the photo of the one you made earlier.

I am with you with the ironing, it’s only on a must do basis here, if it does not need it, it does not see the iron.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue card, never tried iris folding, thought about it and looked at in magazines and that’s as far as I have gone.
Both cards are lovely, But the blue one is my favorite.
